Option 1 – Beach Diving 2 Dives: The best-selling option Kata Beach is a fantastic dive site that is often overlooked by other dive centers. There is an abundance of marine life there that is unique to Kata Beach. There is large numbers of schooling fish, stingrays, nudibranchs, moray eels, sea horses, and the odd turtle. There has even been a mimic octopus spotted there on rare occasions. A perfect place for practicing camera work if conditions are favorable. Beach diving is generally available between October and May due to the westerly monsoon. This dive site is great for all diving levels from beginner through to advanced.

Option 2 – Boat Diving 2-3 Dives: Racha Yai and Racha Noi are 2 islands that are relatively close to Phuket. The islands are known for the clear water and mild currents. There are generally large schools of chevron barracuda, giant moray eels, puffer fish, and sometimes turtles. There is also a large artificial reef and some wrecks at Racha Yai island. Racha Yai and Racha Noi can be dived all year round. This site is great for beginner and intermediate divers

Option 3 – Boat Diving 3 Dives: Phi Phi islands and Shark Point are some of the most spectacular dive sites in the region. Blacktip reef sharks are quite common here as well as turtles. Shark point has a huge variety of marine life such as soft corals as well as large schools of fish. These sites can have currents and low visibility at times. So hence it is available only to intermediate and advanced divers. The dive at Shark Point is subject to good conditions, on the odd occasion we may have to divert to an alternate dive site on the way home.

Digital Underwater Photography Specialty includes all the knowledge development requirements for the course. If you want to take digital photos and videos underwater this course will teach you how. In the first two sections, the focus is primarily on still photography – whether you take digital still images with a camera or camcorder. Section Three covers some specific tips on how to capture and adjust image quality with underwater video with digital cameras If you do not yet have an underwater camera we have cameras for rent for 1500THB

THE FEATURES OF A UNDERWATER CAMERA SYSTEM:

• Underwater housing – A lot of cameras now are waterproof, but used regularly at depth they are susceptible to the forces of underwater pressure. These underwater cameras generally have housings available
• Manual white balance– Adjusting your manual white balance measures the surrounding color, then compensates for colors that would be lost
• External flash unit – Some photographers choose to introduce artificial light with their photography. Separate strobes can help you achieve amazing photos at times
• Wide-angle adapter – Wide-angle lenses are gaining in popularity, they allow photographers to capture larger portions of wrecks, or when shooting a turtle that is on the coral you then might be able to catch your dive buddies who will be hovering slightly above the coral
• Large memory card – Anything over 4MB is sufficient for a day of photography, but you might want to carry a few spares. There is nothing worse than having a memory card error and not having a spare
